In our Critical Access Hospital you will be exposed to the emergency department acute care (Med/Surg) swing bed surgery outpatient treatment and so much more! Utilizes the nursing process to identify patient needs and priorities of care through assessment, planning, and delegation of care based on patient needs and evaluation of the patient’s response. Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization. This position supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of CommonSpirit Health.
ResponsibilitiesPreferred Perioperative RN experience.
  • Coordinates the preadmission process for pre-operative patients; works closely with provider, provider staff members, and patient care team.
  • Provides assessment of and preparatory care for all surgical outpatients with an emphasis on anticipation and prevention of complications, including pre-op medications instruction.
  • Collaborates with other care staff to assure patient information is up to date and correct.
  • Provides patient with pre-operative education.
  • Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience Associate’s Degree in Nursing
Minimum Of Four (4) Years RN ExperienceRequired Licensure and CertificationsRN: ND
BLS
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And TrainingStrong oral communications skills
Ability to deal with conflict and difficult people
Strong critical thinking skills
Knowledge of all regulatory agencies and their standards and processes
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Pay Range$25.25 - $36.61 /hour
