Sunoco is Hiring a Manager - Operations Near Wolsey, SD
This position will be based at the Wolsey, SD terminal. This position is subject to both pre-employment and random DOT drug testing. This job is responsible for the supervision of employees and the management of all pipeline and terminal assets within assigned areas.
- Oversee daily facility operations, maintenance, metering, quality control, regulatory compliance including audits, required inspections, record keeping and high priority on safety.
- Manage expenses and implement programs and procedures to keep operational costs at minimum levels.
- Know and follow all state and federal regulatory permits and requirements.
- Provide local incident management to all emergencies.
- Be available 24/7/365 to resolve unintended and abnormal operational issues.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 8 years of pipeline and/or terminal operations experience required.
- Experience in Process Safety Management preferred.
- Possess Operator Qualifications is preferred.
- Knowledge of refined products batching pipeline movements and hydraulics is preferred.
- Ability to interact with and satisfy customers.
- Hazwoper training
- Valid driver’s licenses required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to independently proof work for accuracy
- Ability to manage time and scheduling to meet appropriate deadlines.
- Ability to work successfully in stressful situations and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to use awareness of relationships and impacts of data trends and elements to appropriately recommend actions that impact both near and long-term company operations and profits.
- Ability to take directions from management and interact effectively with co-workers.
- Must have supervisory skills to effectively manage a staff of approximately 10 employees.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Basic knowledge of control systems, electronics, electricity, pumps, motors, refined products quality control, etc.
