Goodman Air Conditioning & Heating is Hiring a DIRECTOR MANUFACTURING Near Waller, TX
- Drives discipline and compliance throughout the department & establishes targets and ensures achievement
- Works with peers and cross-functional teams to solve operational problems impacting the site
- Responsible for management duties, communication, performance management, disciplinary action, etc.
- Control quality and cost of production through appropriate subordinates and/or departments.
- Deploy and utilize resources in an effective manner, have a relational understanding of constraints, and consistently meet production schedules and customer commitments.
- Provide a high level of technical expertise to support strategic growth objectives through the development of new capabilities and increasing the Company’s core manufacturing competencies to foster the expansion of existing and related product offerings.
- Engage and work collaboratively with management and demonstrate accountability in a manner that increases the overall performance and effectiveness of the team.
- Coordinate the execution of manufacturing schedules based on sales requirements and plant capacity.
- Administer plant policies and procedures fairly and consistently to accomplish both the manufacturing process and meet Company deadlines.
- Sustain effective communication of organizational objectives, priorities, and policy through regular meetings with the manufacturing team and key reports. Establish and monitor key performance indicators for evaluating performance.
- Promote awareness, accountability, and active participation with EH&S strategies and programs to achieve environmental and safety goals. Establish and maintain a healthy, safe and motivated work environment that promotes quality of work life, long term profitability, employment security and customer satisfaction.
- Maintains financial goals related to productivity, overtime, and labor goals.
- Works with management staff to improve performance of the unit.
- Make solid decisions pertaining to product quality, department safety, and department efficiency.
- Manages work flow balancing ensure production schedules and delivery objectives are achieved cost effectively.
- Ensure compliance with project quality, safety and security.
- Maintains effective schedule and cost control.
- Collaborate with relevant people / departments and coordinating all relevant inputs (people, plant and processes) to ensure production output and on-time delivery targets are achieved.
- Provide leadership direction, coaching, and development opportunities to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, career progression, ethical behavior, and a customer-first mindset.
- Participate in additional projects to support ongoing business needs.
