Title: HR Generalist

- The HR Generalist can work from outside the office as needed (days of doctors visits, inclement weather, etc.)
- Organize the onboarding paperwork of new employees, and organize and audit existing employee files
- Conduct salary survey research and write job descriptions for upcoming vacancies
- Implement procedures for the HR Department - streamline processes
- Assist with the implementation as needed
- Act as a point of contact for employees, handle escalations as necessary
- Negotiate with vendors on benefits packages
- The HR Generalist will eventually take over payroll responsibilities from the Controller
- ADP, 200 employees
- Prior Human Resources experience being hands on with employee engagement, benefits and payroll is preferred
- Ability to work independently and take ownership over the department
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- The HR Generalist should be commutable to Wallingford 5 days per week
