Steffens Insurance Group Inc is Hiring a Personal Lines Account Manager Near Waterford, WI

Steffens Insurance Group located in Waterford, WI has an immediate opening for a full-time Personal Lines Account Manager. This is an in-office position. This position is responsible for providing prompt, accurate, courteous service to customers, producers, and company personnel. This is mostly an administrative role including filing, scanning, and taking phone calls but it also includes submitting new business quotes to our carriers. Insurance experience is helpful but not required. We will train the right person with the right skill set.


The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge of computer systems and operations including Microsoft Office, Good listening skills and attention to detail, knowledge of insurance and its products, the ability to be a self-starter with good communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with unscheduled interruptions.


Skills:

1. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for Personal Lines Account Managers to interact with clients, producers, and company personnel. This includes listening actively to client needs, explaining insurance policies clearly, and corresponding professionally via email or phone.

2. Attention to Detail: Attention to detail is essential for accuracy in preparing documents, processing transactions, and reviewing policies for completeness and correctness. This skill ensures that all client information is accurately recorded and that policies meet the specified requirements.

3. Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills are necessary for providing prompt, courteous assistance to clients and addressing their inquiries or concerns. This includes maintaining a positive attitude, being empathetic towards client needs, and resolving issues in a timely manner to ensure client satisfaction.


Knowledge:

1. Insurance Products and Services: A comprehensive understanding of insurance products, coverages, and services is essential for effectively servicing personal accounts. This includes knowledge of various types of personal insurance policies, such as property, liability, and workers' compensation, as well as the ability to explain coverage options to clients.

2. Computer Systems and Operations: Proficiency in computer systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office and agency automation systems, is necessary for performing administrative tasks, preparing documents, and maintaining client records electronically. This knowledge ensures efficiency in managing client accounts and processing transactions.

3. Industry Regulations and Compliance: Familiarity with insurance industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices is important for ensuring adherence to legal requirements and agency guidelines. This includes understanding state insurance laws, licensing requirements, and ethical standards governing insurance transactions.

Experience:

1. Client Relationship Management: Experience in building and maintaining client relationships is valuable for Personal Lines Account Managers to retain existing clients, identify cross-selling opportunities, and generate referrals. This involves proactively engaging with clients, addressing their needs, and providing personalized service to enhance client retention.

2. Administrative Support: Previous experience in administrative roles, such as filing, scanning, and data entry, provides a foundation for handling administrative tasks efficiently as a Personal Lines Account Manager.
