Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will utilize a high level of Microsoft Excel skills to organize voluminous business data for analysis and action and will perform analysis to validate the Company’s business activities. The individual will also be a key member of a team consisting of accounting and non-accounting personnel charged with developing and implementing steps to significantly improve the Company’s billing process. Finally, the person in this role will perform and support the Company’s other accounting and operational needs as required. A person who succeeds in this role will be well positioned to advance in accounting and operations within the organization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Provide support to non-accounting groups to allow for rapid, accurate, and efficient billing and month-end closing

· Oversee AR collections and accounts payable

· Supervise the Accounting Specialist role

· Perform cost and profitability analysis

· Utilize high level Microsoft Excel functions to organize data for analysis and action

· Reconcile and balance GL accounts

· Prepare and review customer invoices

· Record journal entries

· Prepare routine and ad-hoc analysis

· Main point of contact for annual audit and month-end closing process

· Review analysis and results with accounting and non-accounting personnel

· Other projects as necessary

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting

· 3-5 years of accounting experience

· ERP experience

· Cost financial analysis experience

· High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel

· Data entry, document management, file creation, and previous records experience

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility on a variety of tasks and projects
