Talynt is Hiring a Manufacturing Engineer Near Waverly, OH

Our client is a global leader in automotive manufacturing, specializing in innovative and economical lightweight products that enhance vehicle safety. They develop and produce complex metal and hybrid structures for body-in-white and chassis that are lightweight, economical, and crash-proof. Their global production network ensures uniform manufacturing and production standards across Europe, Asia, and North America.

As a Manufacturing Engineer at our Waverly site, you will:

  • Investigate and implement improvements in manufacturing/production processes.
  • Participate and lead project teams, managing timelines, goals, and budget parameters.
  • Monitor job progress and provide direction to vendors and internal teams.
  • Facilitate training sessions for internal employees on various manufacturing processes.
  • Document project details and provide updates to management.
  • Coordinate the implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Update product-related documentation and provide operator training.
  • Collaborate with customers on continuous improvement activities.
  • Train maintenance employees on equipment related to continuous improvement projects.
  • Work cooperatively with the Program Manager on new product launches.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean, and comfortable work environment.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive stampings, welding, mechanical, and modular assemblies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, CAD software, and other relevant computer skills.
  • Ability to deal with conflict and resistance, and effective use of problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of TS 16949/ISO 14001, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ergonomics, Time Studies, Robotics, and Industrial Relations.
  • Knowledge of welding processes, including projection, MIG, and laser.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Education

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Engineering – Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Robotic preferred.
