We’re looking for an HR Administrator to join our growing team in Rochester, NY!

The Position:

The HR Administrator (HRA) provides primarily benefits & payroll support as well as administrative and generalist Human Resources activities to our North American employees. In this role, you will provide our employees with an exceptional experience as you will be the first point of contact for HR-related queries.

The Day to Day:

Payroll Administration – Lead the weekly payroll processing for the US, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Benefits Administration – Answer employee questions, communication with US benefits managers, managing leave of absences (FMLA, PFL, STD, LTD), wellness programs and workers compensation administration. Process day-to-day benefits changes. Leads annual open enrollment preparation and administration. Management of 401k plan including normal administration, audits, education sessions and coordination of plan committee meetings including legal and compliance documentation.

Wellness –  Develop, lead and champion company wellness programs.

On & Off Boarding – Lead the onboarding and offboarding processes. Ensuring that employees have the highest level of support through the change process. Makes suggestions and recommendations for continuous improvement. 

HRIS Maintenance/Compliance -- Administer all employee changes and updates. Ensure the HRIS system is up to date, accurate and being used as efficiently as possible. Support and manage various compliance activities including the annual preparation of the AA plans, preparations of 5500’s, annual audits, CSR, etc. Maintain employee files, training records and org charts. Create and analyze monthly reports including headcounts, turnover and employee surveys.

Internal Communications – Manage internal communications for the office including announcements of new hires and other communications. Draft, amend and communicate company policies and procedures. Coordination of special events including celebrations, rewards and recognition programs, and other Fun Committee events. 

Safety Champion – Support company safety initiatives. Create and communicate monthly metrics reporting. Manage workers compensation cases to support the safe return to work. Train employees on relevant safety topics.

Recruitment – Support the administrative recruitment efforts by working with Hiring Managers to get job openings posted to the various job sites, prepare offer letters, etc.

Strategic Projects - Collaborate with the HR team to support various projects as assigned.

What you Bring to Safran:

Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum of 5 years related Benefits and Payroll experience required. Strong knowledge of local, state and federal labor laws. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High ethical standards with high degree of confidentiality. SHRM/HRCI Certifications a plus!
