You will be working at a clinical diagnostic laboratory, offering integrated diagnostic testing instruments and solutions to enable lab-developed assays, automate specific tests and maximize lab productivity for clinical laboratories.

Description:

Supporting R&D and Pharmaceutical NGS and qPCR testing as it applies to molecular oncology

· Performs routine and complex laboratory analyses

· Assists in the development and verification of test methodologies for the use in the laboratory

· Ensures instruments and equipment in the lab are functioning properly and maintained by performing or arranging scheduled maintenance

· Utilizes good documentation practices (GDPs) and follows laboratory quality control and quality assurance policies

· Complies with safety policies and procedures

· Complies with QC and QA policies and procedures

· May train other employees

· Other duties as assigned

• This position requires the scientist to be reliable and self sufficient to run projects in support of the Clinical Next Generation Sequencing Division and external partnerships
• conduct validations, research and development of assays, draft protocols, train lab personnel, lead projects, and assess assay performance
• DNA and RNA extractions, quantitation, qPCR, NGS, and data analysis
• Ensures instruments and equipment in the lab are functioning properly and maintained by performing or arranging scheduled maintenance in a timely manner

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• A BS degree in Biological Sciences from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in laboratory testing (outside academia), specifically in clinical services required
• Experience with NGS, ELISA and other cell-based assays required
• GLP, GMP
