Privately held merchandising company that has doubled in size and is continuing to break into new segments of business is adding a new position to support the growth. This position will oversee the corporate accounting functions and support an excellent mentor. They would like to meet with candidates who began their career in public accounting and are currently managing the corporate accounting function. - Financial Reporting: This involves preparing and consolidating reports on a regular basis to provide insights into the financial health of the company.
- Budget Development: Assisting in creating budgets and analyzing budgetary performance to support financial decision-making.
- Control Systems Enhancement: Contributing to the development and improvement of control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Accounts Oversight: Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, including identifying discrepancies and reconciling accounts to maintain financial accuracy
- Internal Control and Policy Creation: Collaborating with the financial team to establish robust internal controls and policies to mitigate risks and enhance financial management processes.
