Westchester Behavior Analysts is Hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Near Westchester, NY

About Us:

Westchester Behavior Analysts is a private practice of behavior consultation and therapy providing services throughout Westchester, NYC, and parts of Connecticut. Our mission is to provide high quality behavior analytic consultative and therapeutic services to meet the diverse needs of our clients and produce lasting, meaningful change. We partner with individuals, families, schools, and organizations to create personalized solutions. We are seeking highly motivated and skilled Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with families and children with diverse learning needs, and a strong understanding of principles of behavior.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct skills assessments (e.g., ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, etc.) and develop skill acquisition treatment plans
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and develop client-specific Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Develop and implement appropriate assessments, skill acquisition programs, and intervention methods to develop client’s behaviors and teach new skills
  • Provide tools such as reinforcement and conditioning to encourage positive behaviors or address aggressive, harmful or maladaptive behaviors
  • Implement programming in a discrete trial format and within a natural environment while engaging in ongoing data collection
  • Collaborate with parents and/or caregivers and provide training to ensure the successful implementation of treatment plans and achieve optimal outcomes
  • Prepare session notes and keep accurate and up-to-date documentation of progress, treatment plans, and other important records

Additionally, for school-based positions:

  • Consult with classroom teacher and staff
  • Support teacher aides and assistants in data collection methodology and strategy implementation
  • Model and guide effective approaches to respond to challenging behaviors
  • Support facilitation if positive appropriate classroom behaviors

Requirements:

  • BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) and/or LBA (Licensed Behavior Analyst) certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organization skills & attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and/or weekends, around the needs of the client and existing schedules
