We are currently hiring a Medical Billing Specialist for a primary care office in the Westminster area!

Description :

• Medical Billing for family medicine clinic - this role is a combination of full cycle medical billing and some outbound patient collections
• Read & understand EOB's and claim correspondence
• Identify claim issues - work through rejections and post to AR
• Understand Medicare and how to use modifiers
• Maintain billing records
• Process appeals and denials
• Make outbound calls to patients to collect payment on outstanding accounts

Qualifications : MUST HAVE

MUST HAVE

• Minimum of 1 year of full cycle medical billing experience- understand how to process appeals & denials (specifically research denied claim, identify cause, and resubmit through insurance portals to be processed)
• Able to understand and read EOB's
• Basic knowledge of ICD-10 coding and CPT codes (how it applies to billing / claims management)
• EMR experience
• Strong customer service experience - must have some kind of phones experience in previous history

NICE TO HAVE

• NextGen
• Patient collections experience HIGHLY PREFERRED
• Experience working with a third party collections agency to manage the professional relationship
• Understanding of insurance follow up & rev cycle claims process is more important than B2C collections experience
