**Hybrid, 3 days remote and 2 days in office per week, after 90 days**

This position will complete total loss evaluations, make the total loss offer, move vehicles, follow up on the title documents and issue payments to the appropriate parties.

Job Responsibilities:

• Investigating, evaluating, and negotiating claims, to reach a fair and equitable settlement.
• Using compassionate communication and persuasive negotiation to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Contact appropriate parties to gather supporting documents necessary to negotiate and settle the claim within their authority level (i.e., obtaining the title, keys, and other required documentation).
• Control damages through the proper use of cost containment tools (i.e., mitigate storage, expenses, rental).
• Properly manage Total Loss settlement process and rental expenses by working closely with appraisers, rental facilities, body shops, and salvage vendors. Including managing deductibles and limits.
• Meet all quality standards and expectations per company best practices and comply with state specific regulations.
• Maintain an effective diary system, manage file inventory, and document claim file activities in accordance with established procedures.
• Provide quality customer service to meet the needs of the insured, claimant, all internal and external customers.
• Working well with others in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 2 years in auto insurance claims.
• Experience in determining and negotiating 3rd party comparative negligence.
• Knowledge in state compliance regulations for IL claim handling required.
• Strong analytical and communication skills are necessary, bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
• Qualified applicants should possess organizational skills, able to work at a fast pace, as well as the ability to make independent decisions.
