Carpenter & Paterson is Hiring a Quality Control Inspector Near Westwego, LA
- Inspect products and materials for defects or deviations from manufacturers’ or industry specifications and standards.
- Read and understand blue prints and specifications.
- Monitor or observe operations and processes to ensure they meet established production standards.
- Recommend adjustments to the process or assembly to ensure compliance.
- Accept or reject finished items or those in process.
- Remove and segregate all non-conforming products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
- Record the results of inspections and prepare reports. Document non-conformities.
- Help in performing root cause analysis of production problems.
- Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior production and/or quality experience in a manufacturing environment, welding environment preferred.
- ASNT SNT-TC-1A Certification is a plus.
- Must be observant and pay close attention to detail.
- Takes a logical, methodical approach to work.
- Experienced using measuring and inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic computer skills in data management and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
