Job Title: Facility Technician I
Department: IT
Work Location: White Hall, AR
Reports To: Manager, Facilities & Security
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic electrical installation and repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, cables, power circuits, and appliances.
  • Perform basic network wiring and repair work by routing new Cat6 wiring and terminating it in an approved manner.
  • Promptly respond to and resolve all facility requests for service.
  • Complete daily facility inspections.
  • Move furniture or cubicles as needed to support office and equipment transitions.
  • Perform painting projects within the facility.
  • Maintain inventory of all Facilities supplies.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to facilities.
  • Provide solutions for new additions, transitions for workspace, and other facility reconfiguration.
  • Maintain day to day operations of facility, ensuring cleanliness.
Education And Qualifications
  • Knowledge of building codes and of power distribution and piping systems.
  • High school diploma/GED with minimum 2 years vocational, industrial, trade school, apprentice program experience or applicable experience.
  • Well organized and capable of documenting/filing work via handwritten work requests and computer programs.
  • Ability to work with electricians, data cabling, and other facility-related vendors.
  • HVAC- understand where the equipment is.
  • Plumbing- the ability to shut off water and identify problems.
Physical And Environmental Requirements
  • Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
  • Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
  • PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
  • Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
  • Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
  • Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
