Sentara is hiring a Radiology Technologist in the Williamsburg area!!!
This is a Full-Time Day shift opportunity with GREAT BENEFITS!!!The Radiology Technologist conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within the scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, including positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation-producing equipment, operation of the electronic Radiology systems and preparation of patient room/equipment/medications.
Phlebotomy competency for lab may be required for certain sites that do both Radiology and Lab.
Qualifications:Trade school graduate (Radiologic Technology)
7 -12 months of Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems
4-6 months Basic managerial experience of coordinating the work of others
Registry-eligible graduates in lieu of ARRT, must obtain ARRT registry within 180 days of hire.

Job SummaryPerforms general diagnostic radiologic and Fluoro imaging studies of patients and/or works in a hospital or standing ED. Works within the scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic Radiology systems and preparation of patient room/equipment/medications.
Registry eligible graduate in lieu of ARRT, must obtain ARRT registry within 180 days of hire. Grandfathered staff at time of merger with military radiologic technologist training will be accepted in lieu of ARRT registry.
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
Qualifications:TS - Trade School Graduate (Required)
