Kennel Technician Job Summary

Jakes House of Animal Rescue is looking for an animal lover to join our kennel management team as a Kennel Technician. WEEKEND availablity a must. To qualify for this role, you must have a positive attitude and a genuine love for dogs of all shapes and sizes. In this role, you do more than cleaning and disinfecting our kennels — you also learn animal care and behavior basics while assisting our team with feeding, grooming, and walking tasks. Having previous experience in a pet care environment or kennel management is a plus, but we will provide training to the right candidate. Rotating shift work to include nights and weekends mandatory.

Kennel Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect the kennels
• Provide animals with food and water according to our feeding schedule
• Give animals in our care their medication
• Walk and play with the animals
• Help with bathing and grooming tasks
• Enrichment
• Training

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
