Objective:
The Payroll Clerk is a key support position in the Accounting/HR department. This person works to ensure that our internal and external clients are more than satisfied with the services they receive. The Payroll Clerk supports all of the administrative functions of the payroll and assists the HR Department.
Employment Status:
This position is up to 25 hours per week. Seasonally the position may require more or less hours.
Essential Job Tasks:
In addition to these specific essential job functions, the Payroll Clerk/Admin Assistant may be asked to assist the accounting team or CRS Team in some of their administrative or client relations functions as time allows
Education and skills:
Minimum high school graduate, some college or post-secondary training is a plus. Knowledgeable in use of windows-based software at an above average level including Word, and Excel, is essential. Minimum of 2 years of Payroll experience required. Must possess expertise in various client/employee relations skills; be highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities. A background in HVAC or another mechanical service field is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, and walk from area to area including indoor (approx. 95%) and outdoor (approx 5%). Ability to grasp, finger, hold, and lift up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis. Be able to use computer mouse and keyboard, telephone, fax, copier/printer, calculator/adding machine, and various other office equipment related to position.
