- The primary responsibility for this position is to work with our mechanical engineering team in developing new solutions and supporting existing test solutions at the Wilsonville, OR site.
- This position will heavily utilize development and debug skills for the development of mechanical interfaces and components used on multi-rack automated test stations.
- Developing designs, documentation modification, production support
- Contribute to the success of a cross-functional team to develop solutions to production and field-testing problems. This could include initial design, prototyping, and environment testing solutions.
- Develop and review product designs, analyze development, and design requirements.
- Design of test fixtures, cables, interconnects, and associated documentation
- Perform tolerance analysis.
- Prepare and present project / technical information to peers, internal management, and customers.
- Plan and manage tasks effectively.
- Specific tasks include enclosure structural design, thermal, vibration, other environmental considerations, design verification, prototype build and production transition to the factory.
- Perform assignments requiring the use and application of moderate to complex mechanical engineering principles and techniques.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- At least 3-5 years in related field Must be detail oriented.
- Must be able to excel in a team environment where the individual will interact with various engineering teams comprised of other mechanical engineers, mechanical drafters, electrical engineers, software engineers and system engineers.
- Must have excellent working knowledge with Solidworks,
- Must have excellent working knowledge with NX Designer
- Must have excellent working knowledge with 3D printing.
- Must have excellent working knowledge with AutoCAD, or similar design tools.
- Must have experience working in production.
- Must be capable of performing mechanical design and analysis to meet system requirements.
- Must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
