- Ability to educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure patients understanding and cooperation.
- When order prepares and administers contrast media and medications within scope of practice.
- Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
- Ability to review patient history and physicians’ orders.
- Prepares equipment and supplies.
- Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
- Troubleshooting to resolve and or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Positions patient and performs imaging procedures.
- Analyzes results and able to identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
- Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.
- Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
- Assist director in hiring of new staff will serve as preceptor for new staff while training, provide educational in-services as needed, staff schedules, policy review. Does Watch and Dose Check reporting etc.
- Manages Does Index reporting. Reports benchmarking as necessary to RDOP committee etc.
- Maintains ACR accreditation on the CT scanners, renewal process completed timely and submitted.
- State licensing
- ARRT certification
- Degree in radiology
