My client is a leading company in the manufacturing sector, committed to excellence and growth. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the manufacturing industry and a proven track record of managing accounting operations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring efficient management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of accounts.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures to mitigate risks and safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with general accounting standards, various financial rules and regulations, and company policies.
• Manage the internal financial reporting process, providing accurate and timely financial information to senior management.
• Mentor and build a strong accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Manage and perform other duties consistent with the role of an accounting professional, contributing to the overall success of the finance department.

Qualifications:

• BS in Accounting or Finance is desirable. Candidates with a BA in Accounting/Finance and 5 years of manufacturing-related accounting experience will also be considered.
• CPA or CPA Eligible preferred
• Proven experience in managing accounting operations within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing accounting team.
• In-depth understanding of accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal controls.
