The Center for Developmental Disabilities, Inc is Hiring a Classroom Aide Near Woodbury, NY

Some Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervises assigned student at all times throughout the school day including, but not limited to, when in the classroom, during transitions, during specials (i.e. Adaptive Physical Education, Art, Music), during therapies, recreational times, community/field trips, and busing.
  • Implements educational, therapeutic, and behavioral plans under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher, therapy staff, and clinical staff.
  • Assists assigned student in all activities of daily living while promoting independence as directed by the Special Education Teacher.
  • Assist with data collection of the assigned student to provide information for necessary record keeping.
  • Assists in maintaining order and cleanliness of classroom, equipment and supplies. Ensuring a safe and organized classroom environment.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, lift 50 lbs.

An employee's salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.
