Qualifications:

2 years experience in related field
As a Director of Housekeeping and Laundry in a Grace Management Services facility you must be able to perform the following essential functions as demonstrated by the ability to:
Essential Job Functions:
Purchase housekeeping and laundry supplies.
Supervise receiving and storage of linens and supplies.
Represent the Housekeeping/Laundry Departments.
Participate in employee selection, evaluation and termination.
Responsible for communicating pertinent information to employees.
Prepare documentation and cleaning schedules.
Plan and conduct in-service training programs.
Assume responsibility for high sanitation standards.
Ensure proper maintenance and repair of equipment.
Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy.
Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
Assure proper care and use of housekeeping/laundry equipment.
Report any observed area in poor repair to the Administrator and to the maintenance department.
Dispense soap, paper and other housekeeping supplies.
Assist with the implementation of OSHA regulations as they pertain to housekeeping/laundry departments.
Operate an automated laundry solution dispensing system.
Prevent the spread of infection through proper handling, storage, washing and transporting of all garments and linens.
Keep MSDS book updated with all new chemicals of housekeeping and laundry departments.

Performs daily rounds to ensure a healthy, clean safe environment is maintained at all times.
Ensures all hallways and entrances are uncongested at all times.
Responsible for ensuring proper safety measures are used when housekeeping/laundry duties are being performed (e.g. wet floor signs, chemicals are secure and labeled, etc.)
Supervise proper labeling and handling of all resident’s clothing.
Work with all corporate Supervisors to mainstream policies and procedures.
Perform, oversee and schedule all floor care procedures.
Ensures all state and federal guidelines are met.
Assist Office Manager with housekeeping and laundry payables.
Attend in-services and seminars as directed by the administrator of you facility.
Perform all housekeeping and laundry positions.
Perform other related duties as directed by the Administrator.
