Private school in Lower Merion Township is seeking a school nurse starting Mid-August 2024. School has 3Y - 8th grade students.
- Administering first aid and CPR
- Taking students’ temperatures when fever is suspected
- Treating minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes and bruises
- Contacting parents when students are ill or injured
- Dispensing prescription medications to students per physician instructions
- Providing acute care and triage as needed
- Dispensing prescription and OTC medication as needed
- Verifying vaccination records and ensuring vaccines and physicals are up to date utilizing our student information system
- Educating students on hygiene and safety practices
- Leading "Code Heart" medical response team
- Ensuing AEDs are inspected.
Applicants must have an RN degree/certification. Prior school experience is preferred but not required.
