Occupational Therapy Consultants is currently looking for a part-time Medical Biller. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multitask with minimal supervision. We will provide training on our billing software.

Must be vaccinated (and current on boosters) against Covid-19.

Responsibilities:

• Medical billing and accounts receivable.
• Extensive telephone and email follow-up with patients, insurances, and attorneys.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for services.
• Utilize billing software to manage and transmit claims.
• Prepping documents for scanning, mailing, faxing, or emailing.
• Handle confidential information and abide by HIPAA laws.

Skills:

• Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic math.
• Familiarity with Navinet, Availity, etc.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, and reach overhead without any issues.
• Ability to work at a computer and perform data entry.
• Proven experience as a medical biller.
