Our client, a global leader in packaged good solutions, has an immediate need for an experienced Machine / Slitter Operator, to join our winning team in York.

Our candidate of choice will produce a quality product in accordance with company and customer specifications.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Operate slitter efficiently and productively against set goalsLoading and unloading of rolls on slitter.

Interpret and understand written information, (orders, SOP’s, Lam. and print roll tickets etc.)Palletization, (building pallets of finished goods per customer specifications)Bagging of finished rollsQuality checks slit materialLay flat / measurement of slit webPrint quality / print defectsRoll / web tension and integrityEnter accurate information into computer and on production forms.

Print out and attach accurate labels to finished rollsKeep machine and surrounding area safe and cleanSpot and determine visual defects.

SOP’s may cover the areas of (but are not limited to)Employee Health and SafetySQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured.

SGP (Sustainable Green Printer) environmental regulatory procedures and SOP’s. KEY REQUIREMENTS : Ability to read a tape measure / rulerAbility to use a computer, (basic computer skills, data entry)Basic math skillsGood organizational skillsCommunicate well with othersBasic reading skillsBasic writing skills, (must be legible)Use of minor tools, (i.
