As a key member of our Operations Team, the IBM i Computer Operator will be responsible for :
Perform backups using BRMS batch processing via the AS / 400(IBM i) job scheduler or upon request. All backup processing is done within the Dell / EMC DD6300 Virtual tape library.
The management of Virtual tapes confirming the backups have ran to completion and confirming expiration dates are correct for both the U.S. & Europe.
This includes reviewing system console messages, emails, system alerts via Halcyon and monitoring the QSYSOPR message queue.
This will involve calling the network person on-call for support.
Days of Work : Monday thru Friday
Hours of work : 7 : 30AM to 4 PM
