What You’ll Do:

The Product Development Manager manages the day-to-day product development process. Leads in the evaluation, research, and development process. Maintains and gather up-to-date data on orders, specifications, delivery, budgets, and all other areas specific to the project. Communicates with other team members, vendors, suppliers, manufacturers and clients. Manages timelines and deliverables to clients to complete a project successfully.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage timelines, specifications, and budgets/quotes/costing/PO requests. Responsible for updating and communicating timelines to clients and make sure deliverables are met.
  • Manage product development efforts by leading the completion of competitive analysis, market analysis, technical analysis, product launch, feature changes, timeline requirements, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to make sure technical drawings and specifications meet client requirements and supplier samples/capabilities.
  • Manage both domestic and overseas manufacturers to ensure component and final product success.
  • Collaborate with QA team in creation of product specifications.
  • Daily communication on each working project with internal teams, clients and external resources.
  • Arrange and attend interoffice meetings and participate in conference calls when needed.
  • Contribute to brainstorm sessions with other colleagues on the creation of new products and services.
  • Manage all product review processes, risk assessments and retrospective reviews.
  • Create client pricing on products, utilizing quality logistics teams and processes.
  • Act as the relationship manager with clients, creating strong, collaborative relationships.
  • Occasional travel to client offices and supplier locations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Product Development, Project Management, Packaging Development, or similar field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of work experience in product development of consumer goods or merchandise development or similar industry
