DescriptionThe Conrad Company, a thriving family-owned and operated business, is looking for a full-time Sales Application Engineer to join the Fluid Power business unit of The Conrad Company. The Conrad Company helps people in Manufacturing and Construction with Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and Automation. This position is a hybrid role based out of the PennAir office in York, PA.
ResponsibilitiesThe Sales Application Engineer is responsible for technically supporting, designing, and specifying solutions for the PennAir, Valley Fluid Components, and Allied Hydraulics Sales teams. The Sales Application Engineer’s tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide technical support in configuring Industrial Automation solutions which may utilize pneumatics, hydraulics and electro-mechanical components.
- Collaborate with Sales Team in component crossover opportunities.
- Utilize Supplier Web Configurators to generate engineered solutions.
- Communicate with Supplier representatives to integrate components into projects.
- Support Outside Sales, Customer Service, and Production departments in developing bill of materials (BOMs).
- Support customers in troubleshooting system failures by reviewing and recommending redesigns of schematic diagrams.
- Assist Outside Sales with on-site customer visits to review applications.
- Develop and review specifications and drawings for new systems and modifications to existing systems.
- Manage multiple projects at various stages from design through fulfillment by providing technical and application assistance.
- Prepare comprehensive technical support documentation packages as needed.
- Adapt and respond quickly in a high-paced work environment.
- Overnight travel, as needed, for supplier training at manufacturer’s headquarters.
Requirements
- Experience of 3-5 years in the field of Industrial Automation
- Proficient in pneumatic specification and design
- Hydraulic and Electro-Mechanical experience desired
- Certified Fluid Power Specialist (CFPS) Certification desired
- Experience using MS Office programs and CAD systems
- Proficient in technical documentation creation
- Ability to read pneumatic circuit diagrams
- Excellent problem solving, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Reports to the President of Fluid Power
$80,000 - $110,000
