SummaryThe Ophthalmology Assistant performs vision exams, refractory testing, muscle testing, recording eyeglass prescriptions; Completes preliminary eye function testing and explaining to patients about medication and procedures.
ResponsibilitiesPerforms vision exams including: refractory testing, eye muscle testing and recording eye glass prescriptions.
Collects patient health history information.
Provides patient education related to medications and procedures.
Calibrates and maintains ophthalmic equipment and instruments.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirement
- BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
- CERTIFIED OPTHALMIC ASSISTANT (COA)
