Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule patient appointments using computerized scheduling systems
- Verify and update patient demographic information
- Assist with health information management tasks
- Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Assist with clerical duties such as filing, faxing, and data entry
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical office or hospital setting preferred
- Proficiency in using Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes is a plus
- Bilingual proficiency in English and another language is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle patient inquiries effectively
- Experience in office management or clerical duties would be beneficial
