Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Creative Content Specialist is responsible for content creation for our digital channels and social media platforms, as well as some printed collateral. Storytelling and creativity are a must. Assist with updating the Flintridge Sacred Heart website (www.fsha.org and www.tolog.net), to communicate the mission and values of the school.

Essential Job Functions:
● Maintain and expand Flintridge Sacred Heart’s presence on social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Threads, YouTube, etc.).
● Serve as the main graphic designer for printed marketing materials including programs, e-blasts, social posts, websites, etc.
● Serve as primary campus photographer and videographer for Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy activities and maintain the media content library. Assist outside contractors with photo or video shoots as needed.
● Assist with updating content for both internal (www.tolog.net) and external (www.fsha.org) websites. Point person for the submission, editing, and initial input of all content.
● Work with colleagues throughout the Flintridge Sacred Heart community to collect content, produce and maintain internal and external websites and social media sites.
● Work with the Director of Communications to develop and design the annual View From The Top magazine, annual report, and any additional publications.
● Format and distribute View From The Top, annual report, and any additional publications online using Issuu platform, social media, and school website.
● Work with the Associate Director of Communications to create and communicate marketing messages.
● Work with the Associate Director of Communications to create annual goals and objectives for the school-wide marketing and communications strategy.
● Any other work as assigned by the Associate Director of Communications.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
● Bachelor’s degree required.
● At least two to three years’ experience in content creation including graphic design, social media, marketing, public relations, and communications.
● Experience working at independent schools preferred.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Bi-Lingual: Mandarin Chinese as well as familiarity with Douyin (Chinese TikTok) a plus.
● Knowledge of and experience with marketing platforms (MailChimp, Hootsuite, etc.).
● Understanding of HTML, CSS, web design and web content management systems.
● Working knowledge of design software, particularly InDesign and Adobe Photoshop, and experience with Canva.
● Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
● Fluency with macOS operating systems.
● Familiarity with iPhone 15 Pro operation (particularly photo/video taking) and professional cameras.
● Project management experience, exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
● Familiarity with project management software such as Trello, Asana, Monday, or similar.
● Flexibility and adaptability are desired qualities, as the content landscape is ever-evolving.
● Diplomatic skills allowing effective work with a variety of situations and people to accomplish tasks.
● Ability to take direction well and work independently.
● Ability to perform responsibilities in a professional manner and to effectively represent the school in the communities we serve.
● Some evening and/or weekend work will be required for meetings and events.
Physical and Environmental Conditions:
● Requires a majority of time (up to 70%) to be spent walking and sitting.
● Some standing required and the ability to lift, carry and/or pull at least 10 pounds.
● Adverse movements required such as reaching overhead, bending, or crouching.
● Simultaneous/repetitive use of both hands is required for writing and data entry.
● Excellent sensory skills are important (sight, hearing and speech) as well as the ability to communicate effectively.
● May be required to attend evening meetings and/or travel off-campus to attend meetings and/or special events. May be required to use a personal vehicle in the course of employment.
