The Junior IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and supporting the company's IT infrastructure. This part-time, hourly role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities –
Provide technical assistance and support for department-wide telecommunications systems activities
Create and manage employee, contractor, and temporary accounts
Research and resolve technical issues, identifying root causes and process inefficiencies
Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
Install, upgrade, and configure laptop/desktop systems, network devices, and mobile devices
Assemble and disassemble computer stations and peripheral equipment as needed
Coordinate with other IT areas to resolve complex problems
Interact with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance
Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN issues
Maintain company inventory and asset management records
Perform other related responsibilities as assigned to support department/business needs
Triage and respond to last-minute technical emergencies as they arise
Able to go into the office as needed
Qualification
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in similar IT support roles
Minimum 2 years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows hardware and software in a networked domain environment
Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting in a multi-user environment
Minimum 2 years of experience in PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation
Proficient in Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems and Microsoft 365 suite of applications
Familiar with Active Directory, Azure, Zoom, Adobe, Foxit, and other common business applications
Excellent technology skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic computer hardware and software problems
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues when necessary
Flexibility to work outside standard work hours (8am-5pm PT) as needed
