Position Summary
Will be the initial point of contact forindividuals entering or contacting the facility. Performs a variety of officesupport and/or secretarial duties for the Children's Campus such as checkingvisitors into the facility, filing, composing and word processing a variety ofstandard documents and correspondence, relaying and resolving routine telephoneand/or walk-up inquiries, scheduling calendar items and meetings, processingforms, performing data entry, and establishing and maintaining records. Editsand proofreads documents to ensure accuracy. May perform duties involvingsimple mathematical calculations.

Conditions of Employment
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
  • If located at the UNM Children's Campus, successful candidate must pass a comprehensive post-offer, pre-employment criminal and New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) fingerprint background check, and a continued successful status will be verified by periodic future background checks.
  • All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the CWA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with families
  • Experience with CYFD Licensing
  • Experience with HIPPA compliance
  • Experience with FERPA compliance
  • Experience with Excel
Additional Requirements
Selected candidate will need to complete a pre-placement physical and an Early Childhood Education and Care Department background check, including fingerprinting.
