• Facility Name : MacCormick Secure Center
• Description : MacCormick Secure Center, located in the Shindagin Hollow State Forest, is approximately 15 miles east of Ithaca. The facility serves male juvenile offenders who may remain in custody until age 21. Accredited by the American Correctional Association, MacCormick Secure Center currently houses approximately 33 youth. The dress code is business casual or scrubs, with free on-site parking available. Supervision staff will be present when providing nursing care to youth.

Registered Nurses at MacCormick Secure Center provide nursing interventions and medication administration, adhering to regulatory standards in a juvenile correctional setting. This role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care through a systematic problem-solving approach.

• Provide nursing care and interventions consistent with the facility's policies and procedures.
• Administer medications and monitor their effects.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing activities.
• Work collaboratively with supervision staff to ensure the safety and well-being of the youth.
• Follow all regulatory standards and guidelines for nursing care in a correctional facility.

• Active and current RN license in New York State.
• Experience in behavioral health and/or correctional nursing is preferred.

• Hours : 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Days Off : Pass days to be discussed
• Weekly Hours : 40 hours per week with a 30-minute lunch break
