Job Description:.

HarborOne Bank is hiring a hands-on AVP, Data and Application Manager. This role reports to the FVP, IT Operations and EPMO and is accountable for management of our data platform and all internal application development activities at HarborOne Bank. This role is responsible for actively contributing to coding and development tasks while overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to delivery. This leader manages a small but growing team of BI analysts and developers.

This role is key to shaping and executing HarborOne Bank’s technology road map with a focus on leading edge digital and data capabilities that optimize the customer experience. While leading this team and function for HarborOne Bank this leader will roll-up their sleeves and drive outcomes on critical initiatives. This important role is highly visible and will interact with Business Heads and others on the HarborOne senior leadership team.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Technical Delivery

  • Effectively understand, design, develop, and support technical solutions to defined business needs.
  • Hands-on development of software solutions, including coding, debugging, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
  • Partnering with the EPMO, serve as the accountable delivery leader for technology execution through build, test, and implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure team, Desktop Computing team and Information Security Officer to ensure all aspects of compliance, supportability, and maintainability and information security are incorporated in solutions.

Team Management

  • Lead a team of BI analysts and developers in designing, implementing, and maintaining software applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and manage technology and data solutions across HarborOne Bank.
  • Serve as technical expert on all in-house development tools to provide architectural and technical inputs and oversight for projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into the development process as appropriate.
  • Adhere to development policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Generate and manage quality control reports, management reports, status reports and system assessment reports

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree, in Computer Science or related field is required. Master’s degree a plus.
  • 8-10 years of software development, with a focus on data architecture, database design, scripting, third party integration and API development.
  • Operates with a risk management mindset with a deep understanding of data security, privacy, and building auditable controls.
  • Experienced in Data warehousing, involving complex data transformation, pivot tables, complex calculators, SQL queries, and stored procs /functions.
  • Experience using Snowflake tools (e.g. Snowpipe, Snowpark, etc.) and advanced concepts such as resource monitoring, virtual warehousing, performance tuning etc.
  • Experienced in Python programming language and invoking python functions from Snowflake.
  • Perform ELT/ETL development optimized for efficient storage and low-cost data retrieval needs.
  • Experience with AWS, Github, DBT, Snowflake, PowerBI and Rivery preferred.
  • Exposure to one or more popular low-code/no-code platforms (e.g. Creatio)
  • Exposure to Workday EIB, Creatio, and AI (e.g. Machine Learning) a plus.
  • Recent relevant experience in Banking/Financial Services defining, understanding, and improving banking processes/technology and a proven successful track record of effective management of staff members and initiatives.
  • Certifications in Snowflake, AWS, Microsoft Azure, API a differentiator
