The Assistant to the Office for Academic Affairs provides administrative support to the Provost and Dean of the University. This is a full-time, exempt, salary position. This position is required to work onsite on our campus located in the Riverdale section of The Bronx, NY. Duties include:
Provide general administrative support to the Academic Affairs department
Deliver exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Assist the Provost and Dean with special projects and initiatives
Compile and organize materials for the Board, supporting the President's office
Prepare contracts for adjunct faculty and manage related spreadsheets
Notify students about their academic review status and academic standing
Compile stipend information at the end of each semester
Update the academic catalog and maintain the website content
Manage multiple phone lines and schedule meetings for the Provost and the Dean
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth office operations
Maintain organized and accurate records
Coordinating and managing projects as required
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
At least two years of administrative assistance experience, preferably in higher education.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate and resolve issues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
