The University of Vermont Health Network is Hiring a Food Service Worker Near Burlington, VT

Primary hours for this per diem position: variable, early mornings and evenings. Requires working every other weekend and weekdays as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Food Service Workers are essential in feeding everyone within the hospital. They may help with: 

  • Preparing a patient’s meal and assembly of the tray for delivery 

  • Delivery of meals to patient rooms 

  • Dish washing 

  • Separating trash/recycle/compost

  • Re-stocking supplies

Job routines require patient interaction, working as a team, and the ability to stand for long periods of time and move large carts throughout the hospital.

  • Great attitude and navigation skills are helpful!

  • Experience is preferred; however, this is a great way to join the UVMMC team and begin an amazing career in food service and healthcare.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in a food service setting desirable.

PAY & BENEFITS:

  • Base Pay: Hourly rates starting at $20.00/hour and up based on experience.

  • Shift Differentials: In addition to the hourly pay rate, evening/weekend/night shift workers receive a differential, dependent upon which shift you work.
