About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Director/Executive Director for Global Medical Communications and Operations. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of leading the external medical affairs communications and operations strategy, with a focus on publications strategy and execution. This pivotal role involves partnering with cross-functional senior and executive leaders to develop a medical communications strategy that enhances awareness, understanding, and credibility of the company's scientific endeavors in the central nervous system and ophthalmology. The role requires a strategic leader who can foster collaboration, oversee the execution of medical affairs strategic operations, and ensure the scientific integrity of medical communications. An analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects is essential. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic, values-driven company and must be aligned with the core values, including a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and belongingThe ideal candidate will have an advanced degree and a minimum of 10 years' of combined industry, clinical, and/or medical communications experience, with a proven track record of excellent communication, leadership, and influence skills. Key responsibilities for this position include providing matrix leadership for program publications, leading the development of scientific communication platforms, and establishing and enforcing publication policies. The role also involves close collaboration with finance for budget management, development of strategic medical congress plans, and continuous assessment and enhancement of medical affairs capabilities and standard operating procedures. The candidate should be a strong team player, solution-oriented, and have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
