• Scheduling and dispatching Landmark drivers, vehicles, and/or equipment to appropriate locations according to schedules or immediate needs
• Accepting trucking requests and producing schedules according to job needs
• Relaying information such as schedules, work orders, or other messages to and from drivers, foremen and superintendents
• Conversing with managers, foremen and superintendents to resolve problems related to requests or dispatches
• Handling communication with hauling collaborators, including but not limited to requests, complaints, status changes, schedules, services and other information
• Daily verification and reconciliation of all dispatched trucks between actual versus what is in the system
• Publish finalized and approved daily schedules
• Ensure dispatch software data is up to date and correct for, but not limited to pricing, UOM, locations, and other data points
• Daily review and report on missing tickets to management
• Resolve missing tickets within 48 hours
• Review, correct, approve and export documented error tickets within 48 hours
• Oversee and ensure that level 1 export-import tickets are completed and correct
• Publish daily reports on trucks requested versus actual trucks received for management
• Prepare trucking analysis from previous week to evaluate production/issues
• Assist with level 1 ticket review as directed
• Review, reconcile and approve invoices as assigned
• Handle compliance for haulers

Analytical thinking: This can help you assess situations like unanticipated road closures. For example, "Should you reschedule or send the driver on an alternate route?"

Interpersonal skills: You will be working with drivers, customers, and vendors, not all of whom will necessarily have the same goals in mind

Industry knowledge: Knowing and understanding the transportation industry, as well as it's laws and regulations, will set you up for success in this role
