Sentara Martha Jefferson Outpatient Surgery Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist!
~Full Time and Day shift~
5 8-hour shifts
Up to $15,000 sign on bonus for qualified candidates!
Job Description:
- Implements plan of care for specific patient population.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care in the peri-operative environment.
- Able to perform second tech role in the presence of the surgeon. Proactively identifies needs for the department.
- Serves as a role model for students, new employees and fellow staff.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge and practice of aseptic technique and surgical technique for more complicated procedures.
- Assists in development of policies, procedures and protocols on the unit level.
- Participates in processes to improve cost management and reduce waste.
Minimum Requirements:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Licensed Surgical Technologist - Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Trade School Graduate - Surgical Technologist OR training from military or vocational school
