About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Senior Web Producer/Project Manager to join our team (preferably with agency experience) to support on the planning, development and execution of a multi-website project.

Below are some of the responsibilities one in this role will assist with. Knowledge of all of these areas is required and how they fit together in order to support our team in the execution of this project

1. Strategic Planning & Coordination

  • Multi-site Strategy Development: Collaborating with stakeholders to define the overall strategy for the network of websites, ensuring each site has a clear purpose, target audience, and objectives that align with the overarching brand goals.
  • Site Interconnectivity Planning: Planning how the individual websites will be linked together, including shared navigation elements, cross-site linking, and a unified user experience across all sites.
  • Integrated Project Management: Coordinating timelines, resources, and teams (Plan B and third-party vendors) across all websites to ensure synchronized development and launch, with clear milestones for each site.

2. Content Strategy & Development

  • Content Consistency: Ensuring consistent messaging, tone, and branding across all websites while allowing for site-specific content that addresses the unique needs of each target audience.
  • Content Interlinking: Developing a strategy for cross-linking content between websites to enhance SEO and user engagement, ensuring that users can seamlessly navigate between sites.
  • Centralized Content Management: Overseeing the integration of a centralized content management system (CMS) that allows for efficient content updates across all websites.

3. Design & User Experience (UX)

  • Unified Design System: Collaborating with designers to create a unified design system that ensures visual consistency across all websites while allowing for site-specific customizations.
  • Cross-site UX Planning: Ensuring a cohesive user experience across all websites, with consistent navigation, shared elements (e.g., headers, footers), and a seamless user journey as they move between sites.
  • Responsive & Accessible Design: Ensuring that all websites are fully responsive and meet accessibility standards, providing a consistent experience across devices and for all users.

4. Technical Development & Integration

  • Cross-site Functionality Integration: Coordinating the development of features that work across all websites, such as shared user authentication systems, search functionality, and data integration.
  • Centralized Analytics Setup: Setting up a centralized analytics system to track performance across all websites, ensuring that data can be easily compared and analyzed.

5. Launch Planning & Execution

  • Staggered or Simultaneous Launches: Deciding whether the websites will launch simultaneously or in phases, and managing the launch process accordingly to minimize risks and ensure smooth rollouts.
  • Inter-site Testing & QA: Conducting extensive testing to ensure all websites function correctly both independently and as part of the larger network, including testing inter-site links and shared features.
  • Go-live Coordination Across Sites: Managing the launch process across all websites, including DNS management, hosting configurations, and ensuring that all sites are live and accessible.

6. Post-launch Management

  • Ongoing Maintenance & Updates: Coordinating regular updates across all websites, ensuring that content, design, and technical aspects remain consistent and up-to-date.
  • Cross-site Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitoring the performance of allwebsites, using analytics to track user behavior, traffic, and conversions, and making data-driven decisions for improvements.
  • Feedback Integration: Gathering and integrating user feedback from all websites toidentify areas for improvement, both on individual sites and across the entire network.

7. Stakeholder Communication & Training

  • Multi-site Stakeholder Updates: Providing regular updates to stakeholders on the progress, challenges, and successes of each website, as well as the network as a whole.
  • Training Across Sites: Training internal teams on how to manage and update content across multiple websites, ensuring they understand both the shared systems and site-specific tools.

8. Compliance & Legal Considerations

  • Cross-site Compliance Management: Ensuring all websites comply with relevant legal requirements, such as data privacy laws and accessibility standards, and that compliance is maintained consistently across the network.
  • Unified Privacy & Security Measures: Implementing privacy and security measures that apply across all websites, including shared user data protection protocols and secure cross-site interactions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on web producing and project management experience
  • Experience managing multiple websites or large-scale digital projects
  • Ability to multi-task and comfortable juggling multiple websites at once
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment strongly preferred
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Flexibility to adapt to design requirement changes
  • Proven ability to manage multiple ongoing timelines, as well as daily rush tasks
  • A core understanding of industry best practices across digital channels.

Required Skills

  • Complex Web Project Management experience including scoping, setting milestones, communicating and managing multiple deadlines
  • Technical Project management software experience including Asana, Keynote, DropBox, Adobe suite
  • Experience working with cross functional teams including: account, CX strategy, content, UX design, visual design, development, SEO.
  • CMS management experience (strong WordPress background preferred)
  • Experience with Quality assurance (QA) and User acceptance testing (UAT) for a largecomplex website
  • Basic knowledge of Figma for management of UX and UI wireframes
  • Digital Asset Management and version control experience
  • Knowledge of digital web accessibility and ADA requirements/WCAG 2.2 standards
  • Basic knowledge of Google Analytics/Universal analytics
