We are looking for a National Sales Manager to be responsible for defining strategy and implementing operational plans for the organization. Candidate will develop and manage the US Sales team to ensure the overall sales and profitability success of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Hire, train and lead and manage sales team including Regional Sales Managers, Direct Sales Engineers and dealer sales network.
* Develop product, client, and market relationships which is orientated on company sales growth.
* Implement growth strategies by anticipating trends and future demands.
* Responsible for the structure and organization of the US sales team and appropriate delegation of tasks.
* Lead all sales activities in accordance with overall business objectives, business plan and annual budget as well as instructions given by Senior Management at both the Regional and Group levels.
* Establish territory and regional sales goals, including monitoring, measuring and adjusting sales areas and goals to ensure complete balanced coverage and sales of all company products.
* Improve and optimize processes and policies in support of organizational sales goals.
* Evaluate the performance of the sales staff to fulfil organizational requirements.
* Continuously monitor and control ongoing sales opportunities, and rapid intervention to significant under-performance.
* Actively manage and control the US sales operation in order to meet or exceed the order entry and net profitability goals as defined in the yearly budget.
* Acquisition of new clients as well as taking care of existing customers.
* Personal support of key accounts and support of sales staff in difficult negotiations.
* Ensure customer contracts are managed. Sign for larger projects, and take ultimate responsibility for the effective delivery, installation, and payment of all projects.
* Manage employee satisfaction and motivation within the sales department.
* Set challenging objectives and break down into individual manager and team goals.
* Support, Coach and challenge the local Sales Management and Sales Team.
* Establish territory and regional sales goals, including monitoring, measuring and adjusting sales areas and goals to ensure complete balanced coverage and sales of all company products.
* Sales candidate recruitment: Work in conjunction with Human Resources to fill sales vacancies by drafting and placing openings in a wide range of media, filtering resumes, providing updates and coordinating internal and client interviews.
* Network to develop an ongoing pool of candidates. Use social media (e.g. LinkedIn) to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships with candidates.
* Conduct performance evaluations according to company policy.
* Conduct monthly and annual sales meetings to produce forecasts to be shared with management.
* Negotiate and close transactions.
* Plan and execute sales events (Open Houses, trade shows, tours, local events, etc) to increase sales funnel activity.
* Frequent visits with the sales team to develop relationships with customers and prospects.
* Establish, measure, manage and report on monthly Sales KPIs.
* Monthly and Yearly Sales Budget of the US market, Monitor performance and implement improvements.
* Monitor competitive offerings providing feedback to Group Product Management, while at the same time defining proper sales arguments to support our sales staff.
* Provide marketing with data, information, and feedback so they can best support sales efforts in the USA.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Technical, Marketing, and/or economic studies (Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Engineering or Business Administration desirable)
* Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar position, ideally in sales of machine tools (investment goods) as well as sales know-how in capital goods required.
* Capital Equipment sales cycle experience.
* MS Office products, CRM
* Experience of defining and implementing strategies and plans for business.
* Proven results creating and implementing strategies that drive sales growth and operational development and efficiency.
* Ability to contribute to the management and growth of the organization the fullest sense.
* Knowledge of operation & sales excellence best practices, standards and procedures.
* Strong management and leadership skills.
* Able to drive the team to beat targets and expectations through coaching and persuasiveness.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
