Orthopedic Centers of Colorado is Hiring a Surgery Scheduler Near Colorado, CO
Essential FunctionSchedules patients for orthopedic surgery.
Works with physician on preferences for surgeries and pre-Operative testing.
Schedules Pre-Operative appointments.
Schedules Post-Operative appointments.
Maintains physical surgery schedule.
Makes appropriate arrangements for patients’ surgeries.
Participates in patient education as needed.
Responds to patient's surgical questions.
Other duties assigned.
Required Qualifications And SkillsHigh School Diploma, or equivalent
Experience in a health care setting
Ability to read, understand, interpret, and respond to different situations and able to communicate appropriately.
Skills in establishing and maintaining an effective relationship with patients, staff, and other medical office personnel.
Ability to learn of have knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols.
Ability to perform in high volume, multi-task environment.
Knowledge in performing pre-authorizations
Working ConditionsFrequent standing, typing, moussing, and reading paper and electronic documents
Ability to file and track documents and data, both in written and electronic form
Hours of business are Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
On occasion, some early, late and overtime hours may be required
Requires long periods of sitting and computer usage.
