Portfolio Controller

A publicly traded company in Howard County is looking for a Portfolio Controller to join their growing team. Hybrid schedule, annual bonus, and top-notch benefits! A great opportunity for an established Portfolio Controller or a Senior Property Accountant looking to take the next step.

Essential functions:

• Maintain integrity of financial information for assigned portfolio in compliance with GAAP
• Review lease documents, credit and tenant improvement obligations, straight line rent calculations
• Support SOX 404
• Prepare and monitor budget and forecast activities
• Track receivables, obligations, and risks

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related discipline) required
• CPA preferred but not required
• 4 years of accounting experience required; 2 years in property accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX
• Knowledge of Yardi is a major plus
