ISC Constructors, LLC is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near Columbus, OH

With offices in Baton Rouge, Beaumont, Houston, and Corpus Christi, as well as job sites around the country, ISC has grown our team as high as 3,000 associates and offers full-service engineering, construction, and maintenance solutions throughout the United States.
The Position:
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager with a wide variety of abilities that complements ISC's culture of integrity. Associate must be proficient in performing a variety of clerical functions, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail. Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Applicants should have the ability to:
  • Manage the recruiting and personal department for the Mission Critical Division, in Columbus, Ohio, including direct reports.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and determine best recruiting practices to attract the most highly qualified candidates
  • Research, source (using cold calls, referrals, data mining and internet resources), evaluate resumes, conduct screening interviews to qualify candidates and present candidates to hiring managers
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for current and projected hiring needs Will be responsible for staffing related metrics which are reviewed per business line
  • Work closely with Workforce Development to proctoring NCCER testing, Apprenticeship testing, and DQ testing. Attend Career Fairs, Trade School Expos, and work with the local ABC Chapter.
  • Provide statistical information on applicants, applicant tracking. Hiring, wage and industry trends.
  • DER for drug screening program. Working knowledge of the DISA Consortium, background screening program, managing random drug screening program through the DISA system, and managing the invoice process
  • Knowledge and experience of safety council and training, set up, and maintaining membership
Qualifications:
  • Typically has 5 years' experience in Human Resources with Industrial Construction and/or Maintenance Background.
  • Human Resources degree preferred, not required.
  • Experience working with Industrial Craft positions, preferably, Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation, experience and/or degree preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point), and Vista Viewpoint.
  • Integrity in dealings with other associates and clients.
  • Ability to work with other personalities in the department and company.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and technical translation.
  • Bilingual communicator preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of all departmental procedures and how they interrelate.
  • Reasonable ability to self-manage especially in the areas of planning, organizing delegating and decision-making.
  • Strong mindset especially in the areas of being a team player, dependable, attendance, willingness to work overtime, presentable dress and appearance, willingness to listen and learn, attention to detail, can-do attitude, sense of urgency and energy.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with understanding of meeting deadlines.
