We empower higher education institutions to make informed decisions and streamline administrative processes, enhancing the overall satisfaction, efficiency, and productivity of faculty and staff.

Job Description :

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team at Scholarly. As an SDR, you will play a crucial role in driving our sales efforts by identifying and qualifying potential customers, initiating meaningful conversations, and setting the stage for successful sales engagements.

Your work will be critical in expanding our customer base and in driving growth for the company.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform outbound cold calls, emails, and social media outreach to generate new leads.
  • Engage with prospects to understand their needs, challenges, and goals related to faculty data management and faculty workflows.
  • Clearly communicate the value proposition of the Scholarly platform, with an understanding of key features and customer pain points.
  • Schedule product demos and meetings for the Founders with qualified leads.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the team to refine outreach strategies and messaging.
  • Provide feedback to the Founders and engineering team based on interactions with prospects to help shape future product developments.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven experience in a sales or customer-facing role preferred, bonus points if it's in the education technology sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage with prospects.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a passion for achieving targets and driving results.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales engagement tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • An interest in higher ed and technology.

What We Offer :

  • Total cash compensation of $75,000 - $125,000 depending on performance. Compensation is a mix of base salary and performance-based incentives.
