Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm

• May assist with other patient care duties under CMA scope as needed.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team at East Des Moines Family Med. This position will staff in our Lab area, and perform the following:

• Greet and prepare patients for laboratory procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures for specimen collection.
• Process and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
• Provide patient education and answer questions related to lab procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.
• Will assist with other patient care duties within CMA scope of practice as needed.

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in outpatient lab or clinic healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinic environment and prioritize tasks.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Mandatory Reporter.
