The goal of the Outside Sales Representative is to maintain and grow existing relationships with our customer base while cultivating new clients for future growth.
**Responsibilities:**
* Develop, grow, and maintain business in the Dubuque area
* Local area travel calling on trade professionals such as plumbing and HVAC contractors, builders, and commercial institutions
* Communicate with customers to identify and understand their product needs; identify and suggest products to meet those needs
* Maintain communication with existing customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest
* Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications:**
* Ideal candidate must be successful, highly motivated, goal-oriented, and have excellent time management skills
* General computer skills. Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat. Has the ability to quickly learn in house operational software
* Ability to establish and maintain a professional relationship with co-workers, supervisors and customers
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check
**Preferred Experience:**
* Plumbing and/or HVAC industry experience is preferred but priority is on successful sales experience and good communication skills
* Wholesale sales experience is preferred
