Herman Construction Group, Inc. (HCG) is expanding its team and is in search of an experienced Project Manager to become part of our HCG team, a subsidiary of Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH). The candidate will possess a deep understanding of United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) management and showcase exceptional leadership qualities. This opportunity offers the exciting responsibility of managing and supervising various projects, providing guidance to staff, conducting thorough large-scale assessments, and engaging in teamwork with professionals across the nation. Compensation:

$125,000 - $150,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Review project RFP and plans, and collaborate with executives as necessary to develop project objectives
  • Efficiently manage labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors in alignment with contract time and budget
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and project owners
  • Lead the analysis and procurement of subcontracts, labor, materials, and equipment
  • Proactively monitor the project to address out-of-scope work, unforeseen conditions, and time impacts promptly
  • Develop, assess, and finalize project budgets and cost estimates
  • Collaborate with superintendents and stakeholders to create the CPM baseline project schedule as per contract documents
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent, or a minimum of 5 years experience in Federal/DoD Construction projects
  • Proven track record in project management within the Federal construction sector
  • Proficiency in RS Means and advanced understanding of construction principles and practices
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Federal construction projects
  • Demonstrated ability to lead successful project teams, foster employee development, and manage external relationships effectively
  • Strong history of making sound judgments and delivering projects within set timelines and budgets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, methodical, and well-organized with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and provide acceptable references and background check results

Physical Requirements:

Functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunities to move about. Near visual acuity to review documentation, ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Working Environment

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting.
